I love the idea of getting married on a boat -- then as soon as its over, you're already well on your way to your honeymoon destination!

Dad in Illinois:

I would send a gift now, for I am sure they would be thrilled to have something from you, to acknowledge their marriage, and your presence will be enough for your son and his new wife at the ceremony. Our Best to Both.

I was hoping you can share your advice.

My son announce last spring that he was going to get married next year. He called me yesterday and told me he got married by the justice of the peace a week ago, but they will still have a ceremony next year.

Should we send a gift now or when the ceremony takes place?

Thanks
