Royal Wedding Ideas – Wedding Castles in England and Scotland

The countdown continues for the Royal Wedding, which made us think of castles. Getting married abroad in a castle would be such a magical experience. We found these two lovely castles (two of many castles used in England and Scotland for weddings) to share with our readers.

This destination wedding was held at Dalhousie Castle, a castle steeped in Scottish history. (The bride from this wedding recommends hiring a wedding planner and if you have to have wedding VISAS then go through a VISA company). The rooms within the castle are very old and just what you would expect out of a unique venue like this. The castle is run very much like a B&B, so you can wander around pretty much wherever you like. Pictured below are photos from the private falconry, as well as the Owl used for their “owl delivery.” The owl delivers the  wedding rings. When it is time for the rings during the ceremony, the owl flies down to the Best Man’s glove with the ring bag and “delivers” the rings in the chapel. This is a very cool addition and is only offered to those having religious ceremonies.

Eastnor Castle is a dramatic, fairytale castle situated in a 5,000 acre estate in the Malvern Hills within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by a lake, deer park and arboretum, with magnificent views of the rolling Herefordshire countryside, the castle is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding.

  A few months ago, shot a wedding in Scotland and it was magical. Very romantic for sure!!!
