Peter Langner’s complete love and intense knowledge of art and art history all started in Hanover Germany where he was born. He recognized his passion for haute couture and formal gowns, early in his youth. He followed his dream and destiny seems to have played a part in guiding him. Langner attended Rome’s best dressmaking schools and then moved to Madrid, where he began to pruduce his first pret-à-porter collection. Still in search of absolute perfection, he set off for Paris where he studied at the world renowned Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale. Shortly after entering the school, Peter’s arresting talent was so obvious that he was asked by the director to design the wedding gown of her daughter as well as her own!

Perhaps one of the most important relationships and learning experiences began when Peter moved to the House of Christian Dior to work intimately with Mark Bohan.

With Mark Bohan, Peter Langner moved to London to become a “Premier” at Norman Hartnell, one who turns sketches into clothes. This gave him experience, a life of travel and access to some of the world’s most famous women, including the British Royals. It was not long before Langner felt he was ready to go out on his own. In 1991, with this final experience and exposure to some of the most influential people of the world, it was time for Langner to open his Atelier in Rome where he remains today.
