On Monday we’ll be posting this gorgeous featured wedding from New York photographer Terry Gruber that was held at The Pierre. We were so loving the details that we just had to give you all a little “tease” of what’s to come.
Enjoy!
Chicago’s Michelle Rahn, is a big StrictlyWeddings.com fan and we like watching what she’s talking about as well.
Bridal registry was one of her recent topics, specifically vintage tableware, which we thought our StrictlyWeddings.com followers might enjoy as well.
Antiquaria has collected dishes, pyrex and mid-centruy pieces for years and are finally sharing their gorgeous finds with the world! While most couples sadly tuck their fine dishes into the corner or store them in boxes somewhere to be unearthed down the road once or twice a year, these ladies are bringing back china as cherished object d’arte AND the ceremony of fine dining and elegant, stylish get-togethers on a regular basis.
They scour the markets for vintage china and make it modern by mixing patterns and styles, and creating the chicest type of table – an eclectic mix of pieces instead of a matchy-matchy complete set. Meaning a home truly unique to you! The collection ranges from china to glassware, kitchenware, serving pieces, and even stamps.
This wedding from Heavenly Blooms took place at the Malibu Nature Preserve, a truly breathtaking venue overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The bride loves the color pink, orchids and crystals, which you can definitely see throughout the wedding details.
It’s an “oh and ah” moment StrictlyWedidngs.com fans! We captured these amazing cakes from Sylvia Weinstock’s blog to end your week with admiration for the incredible talent of this cake artist. (A must see is her Beauty & The Beast cake).
Sylvia Weinstock has created celebratory cakes for 30 years. She was motivated to produce not only beautiful cakes but also the most delicious cake. She uses crème de la crème, finest butter, heavy cream, fresh fruit and imported chocolate to create the most memorable delectable creations.
Not a wedding cake, but goodness, this is painted onto butter cream! Just incredible.
Mark Ingram of New York’s Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier offered these tips for your first bridal gown appointment.

The following wedding details from Blair and Andrew’s wedding were shared with us by Wedding Coordinator CLINK…
The ceremony was held in the Pavilion of Barton Creek Resort and we brought in draping and chandeliers to create an elegant and breathtaking ambiance. A cross backdrop was adorned with roses in shades of ivories, peach and pale yellow and was complimented by two modern arrangements that completed the look perfectly.
The remarkable cocktail hour included an ice sculpture that served double duty as a jaw-dropping centerpiece and raw bar display. The pianist played throughout cocktail hour so there was never a lull in phenomenal entertainment.
The ballroom doors opened and WOW!!!!!!! The ballroom was transformed into a couture playland of modern floral, linens and lighting. From the cake table that had four linens layered to make it just right – to the chair ties on the head table that were tied in a rosette style to compliment Blair’s dress. IT. WAS. TREMENDOUS. Purple smoke bengaline linens adorned all the guest tables and was the perfection combination of modern and elegant. The head table had a dark lavender satin as the base, platinum crush for the middle layer and purple smoke bengaline on top. Centerpieces were all different shapes and sizes of purple and coral floral housed in mercury glass containers.
After enjoying a delicious dinner, guests danced the night away! The band was awesome and was more than willing to let Blair, Andrew and other members of the wedding party up on stage to get the crowd going.
Blair’s to-die-for gown served as inspiration for the custom designed wedding cake. Melissa Sweet herself couldn’t have designed those sugar flowers better!!! And the delicate wisps of feathers blew ever so gently all night. As an added personal touch a crystal bee was placed on the cake. Everyone calls Blair “B” so it was a great feature.
Andrew’s Louisiana heritage inspired our late night snack – beignets!!! Complete with bags flown in from Café Du Monde in New Orleans – YUM! Guests were beside themselves with all of the fun surprises they had in store. And then the final surprise of the night, the horn section led the entire wedding out to “When the Saints Go Marching In.” FUN! Blair made a quick change into a beaded Marchesa dress and then she and Andrew were COVERED in a blanket of fluterfetti as they made their way to an antique convertible Bentley.

This lovely wedding was held at the famous Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island in Florida, which is a wonderful choice for a destination wedding.
Fisher Island Club is the home of the elegant and historic Vanderbilt Mansion. Because Fisher Island is a private members residence, the club hosts a select amount of catered events every year. This makes hosting an event here at Fisher Island all the more special and unique. In recent years, Fisher Island Club, due to its natural attributes, impeccable service and safe environment, has become a premier destination of choice for exclusive events. The Mediterranean style mansion, former estate of the Vanderbilt family, provides a unique and classic setting for weddings. In the center of the Mansion Courtyard is our famous Banyan Tree that is as historic as the Mansion itself and makes the most romantic setting for wedding ceremonies. The tropical gardens, marina and view of the Miami skyline also provide a picturesque backdrop for outdoor events.
A colorful and tropical, yet classically sophisticated outdoor ceremony. Chicago based, Kehoe Designs, created thirty custom made ornate pedestals and matching urns to line the aisle. The urns alternated between hosting Sago Palms and orange topiaries, which were accented with floral rings and votive candles. A fifty yard custom made aisle runner lead the bride and her father to a glorious wedding canopy; which hosted hundreds of multicolored grapes, lemons, limes, clementines, pomegranates, orchids and roses.
