Featured Wedding: Jen & Nick - the chemistry was always there

Two Jai Girard featured weddings in a row - we're thrilled! We were equally excited that the groom's a bit of celebrity himself - NHL Hockey player, Nicholas Boynton.

Bride Jennifer (Jen) shared with StrictlyWeddings.com how they met. "We met 10 years ago when I was waiting on tables at Gibson's Steakhouse in college. I waited on Nick's table. He was in town playing the Blackhawks. He was on the Bruins at the time. I had no idea who he was. We laughed and flirted. When he left he waived at me through the window. I waved back. His teammate told him he better go back in and ask for my number. He did. We became friends and only friends and stayed in touch through the years. We'd have lunch if he came to town or I'd go see one of his games. We both ended up being single in January of 2010 when he came to town with the Anaheim Ducks. We had lunch, and the chemistry was always there. We started dating and next thing you know he was traded to Chicago in March. The rest is history-"

And how did Nick pop the question? "We were at our home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nick said to me, ⠀ 'You know I love you, right?' I thought he was mad at me for something. I'm thinking to myself, oh no what now?! He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was surprised and the tears started flowing. Obviously I said yes!"

The most special moment in the wedding Jen said was the first time she saw Nick. "The first look moment was the most emotional for me. Having Nick see me for the first time was a memorable moment. We were both so happy. Jai Girard and her crew did a wonderful job setting this up."
