Between one and three stores. This should be enough to give you a range of options without confusing your guests.

What do I give as a gift for my wedding party?

Posted by StrictlyWeddings.com :: Leave a Comment :: Filed Under

It is customary to show your gratitude to each person you have chosen to be a part of your wedding with something unique and personal. Traditionally, you give these gifts to the bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer, your parents as well as your fiancée’s parents at the Rehearsal Dinner.

Here are some ideas for you to consider:

* Bridesmaids: Jewelry, jewelry box, music box and picture frames.
* Groomsmen: Cufflinks, pocket watch, and money clip.
* Children: Dolls, stuffed animals, jewelry or gift certificates.
* Mother of the Bride/Groom: Give her something that will always remind her of this special day, perhaps a diamond bracelet.
* Father of the Bride/Groom: A personalized gift such as a men’s watch, engraved cufflinks or money clip.

Should I invite colleagues?

Posted by StrictlyWeddings.com :: Leave a Comment :: Filed Under

Sure, you spend 50 hours a week with the guy in the cubicle next door, but do you really want him at your wedding?  The rule of thumb for work friends is to either invite them all or to exclude all but the few who have become part of your outside-the-office inner circle.  If a cubicle mate wants to know why she wasn’t invited, be honest and tell her that while you value her friendship, you just couldn’t ask everyone you had hoped to include.
