Jenny Packham Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

What an amazing Spring/Summer collection from Jenny Packman that was inspired by the glamor of vintage styles from the 20s, 30s and 40s. Packham drew her creative inspiration from the lightness and ethereal beauty of nocturnal butterflies and their gauzy,intricate wings. White and opal colored beading and embellishments in addition to the more traditional rhinestone and crystals, give some of the gowns a soft, white-washed feel.

Packham’s Nuptial Headdress 2012 collection includes grand pieces thаt аrе ornate wіth vast sparkling crystals, pearlescent sequins, seed beads аnd black solid crystals. These gorgeous accessories can compliment an array of styles including romantic, retro, smart οr traditional.

Packham is a British fashion designer known primarily for her bridal gowns and ready-to-wear collections. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore several Jenny Packham dresses during her tour of Canada and Los Angeles in July.

We were thrilled when our friends at Warren Barrón let us invade their Dallas bridal boutique to get creative with their beautiful gowns and accessories. The Art of True Italian Wedding Couture

Peter Langner’s complete love and intense knowledge of art and art history all started in Hanover Germany where he was born. He recognized his passion for haute couture and formal gowns, early in his youth. He followed his dream and destiny seems to have played a part in guiding him. Langner attended Rome’s best dressmaking schools and then moved to Madrid, where he began to pruduce his first pret-à-porter collection. Still in search of absolute perfection, he set off for Paris where he studied at the world renowned Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale. Shortly after entering the school, Peter’s arresting talent was so obvious that he was asked by the director to design the wedding gown of her daughter as well as her own! (more…)

2012 Wedding Gown Collections

These beautiful wedding gowns are part of the 2012 collection. Many thanks to our bridal partner, Warren Barron Bridal for sharing these beautiful wedding gowns which will be available for ordering at the designer’s fall trunk show at Warren Barron.

Elizabeth Fillmore’s Nuria is silk poult strapless gown with “woodland” flower embroidered bodice and tulle peplum.

Lela Rose’s The Archive is a seed bead and crystal encrusted tulle high neck gown with faille skirt and detachable peplum.

Marchesa’s embroidered illusion dress with full tulle skirt is a vision.

Oscar de la Renta’s white floral guipure strapless gown with white floral guipure bolero.

Monique Lhuillier’s Waltz from the Platinum Collection is blush silk gauze strapless bodice gown with full embroidered skirt and grand bustled bow at back.

Ulla Maija’s Aimee is a white reengineered French floral lace with a keyhole back and soft white double charmeuse undergone.

Vera Wang’s Henriette is a guipure lace build-up ballgown with swirling honey comb tulle and horsehair confection skirt.

New York Wedding Photographer Brian Dorsey Studios – Inspiration in the Big Apple

We visited our New York photography partner, Brian Dorsey Studios’ blog and found these amazing photos Brian took at the Metropolitan Building. The images are dreamlike and magical, while the wedding gowns by Lela Rose are simply stunning.

Says Kim on the blog post … “our editorial shoot at the metropolitan building was a grand slam. brian took the dark, smoky dream-like tone of our inspiration board and brought his own aesthetic voice to the project… a combination of film and digital, the use of inventive photographic techniques, brian’s tech-geek expertise and a supporting cast of producers and assistants all played important roles in transforming the chaos of the shoot into a collection of quietly ethereal and intensely beautiful images.”
