We’ve seen some amazing wedding reception photos over the years. It never fails to amaze us how candlelight transforms a large space into something romantic and intimate.
Below are examples from our StrictlyWeddings.com partners and others. These centerpieces are turned into statements and works of art – from over the top to simple elegance. Marvelous ideas for our fabulous brides.

Eye candy for your table’s decor with these stunning floral centerpieces. We’re never short of bringing you ideas when it’s time to plan your luxury wedding. We can just imagine the fragrance from some of the rose centerpieces – we’re loving the inclusion of the pale and pink antique roses below with pale peonies.

There is nothing bland about choosing white for your wedding bouquet. White comes in various textures and shades – brilliant white to subtle creams; dramatic calla lilies to dainty lily of the valley. Until you see a bouquet that’s all white it’s hard to imagine its simple elegance. When you add touches of green – special grasses, succulents, berries and buds – it creates an entirely different statement. For a natural, yet elegant effect, ask your florist to allow the leaves and stems to remain visible.

Here are five stunning bridal bouquet ideas for fall. From black calla lilies to red dahlias, flowers inspire and are a way to add a very personal touch to your wedding details. Let your floral designer guide you in what’s in season and what will work in your budget, but once you get past those two barriers the choice is yours.
Spider Mums – Photography by Jose Villa
Spider mums come in yellows, purples and reds in the fall. Not very fragrant.

Black Calla Lilies – Photography by Jen Huang
Very different combination of flowers. There are white calla lilies and roses included with the black ones as well as.
Dahlias – Photography by Catherine Leonard
We love dahlias. The way that the petals curve down from the center of the flower. There are so many colors of this flower, but the red and white here is very dramatic.
Succulents – Photography by Q Weddings
Unique and unusual. Succulent bouquets just make a statement with their different textures and shades of green and blue-gray. The hint of red is the perfect accent.

Botanical Berry Blend – Photography by Meg Smith
This might be one of our favorites. It has more of a Christmas Wedding Bouquet look with the berries, yet the gray foliage looks like lavender and it seems to have an orange calla lily in the mix as well. Stunning.

We got these fun photos from our New York City partner, LMD (Lewis Miller Design). Even though it was for a birthday party, we think it’s a bright and clever idea for a bridal shower or couples party. Red is not just the color of love – it just “pops.” Made us smile and who couldn’t use a smile on a Monday!
LMD used hundreds of yards of wide paper ribbons, ruby crystal rental chandelieres, oversized red helium balloons, cotton rental linens with crisp white linen runners edged in cerise grosgrain, silk butterflies, votives wrapped in cheerful Italian printed paper and tied with cotton cording, compotes of fresh strawberries and glazed ceramic pots planted with perky red geraniums and quippy cocktail napkins.

We were thrilled when Los Angeles floral and event designer Eric Buterbaugh chose to share some of his stunning designs with StrictlyWeddings.com.
“Opulent flowers presented in a modern way,” is how Eric Buterbaugh describes his work which leads the world in floral design.
Vivacious and wildly creative, Eric Buterbaugh is the florist of choice for anyone compelled to have one of the world’s most exclusive floral designers conceptualizing and executing the look of their special events.
Looking for something different for our brides, we reached out to the West Coast and found this wonderfully different use of succulent flowers beautifully intertwined with the more “normal” flowers often found in weddings. The floral designer is Heavenly Blooms …and they are.
The choice of flowers had much to do with the brides name in Spanish meaning “white flower.” For the ceremony decor, Heavenly Blooms used a clean and modern collection of vases filled with stems of white hydrangea. They placed some of the vases on rustic wine barrels to complete the look, and incorporated white pomanders and large succulent blooms into the design. (more…)
Spring is beginning to blossom everywhere and all the designers at StrictlyWeddings.com Chicago’s partner Heffernan Morgan Ronsley are inspired by the beauty of spring. This year, Heffernan Morgan Ronsley is infusing simple and clean spaces for their Chicago wedding receptions with punctuations of vivacious colors and textures. Whether the palette may be monochromatic or contrasting, pairing color with subtle shades such as whites, ivories, creams and taupes have never been more elegant. HMR is always influenced by fashion which, this year, is showing stunning corals, glamorous lavenders, glistening pinks and bold teals. Using these colors in a tasteful manner, often in groupings, can lead to a stunning environment for your wedding. It is very easy to get carried away with color trends and going overboard. So be sure to stay classic and elegant with modern elements and colors that will ensure a timeless wedding, one which you will look back upon in 25 years and still fall in love with the spectacular environment you created!

My office is purple, need I say more. Purple reigns true for me and, from what we see in the photos below, with our brides as well. Many thanks to our StrictlyWeddings.com Jordan Payne for sharing with us.
