Art Deco Wedding Inspiration

These beautiful images from Belle the Magazine hark back to another time — when sandals were strappy, music was for dancing, the man wooed the woman, and jewelry was exquisitely detailed. You don’t need to know your Art Deco from your Art Nouveau to admire this shoot sent to us by Gideon Photography. Think elements from the early 1900′s, stained glass wedding cakes, a bride wearing a cap veil, glitz, lots of golds and you’re on the right track. Does it get much better?

Fifty Shades Bridal Inspiration

The best selling trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James has stirred up quite a few conversations among women. Romance with a dark twist? Sexy, edgy or just trash? Whatever your opinion, you can’t miss the noise it’s making. Which is why we got to thinking about how Fifty Shades could inspire the bridal shower, or influence the design of a “special playroom” once married. Maybe it’s a simple outdoor wedding overlooking the ocean like the characters. Anyway you look at it, it definitely could be a great conversation over a glass of white wine, maybe even with your husband-to-be!

Jenny Packham – 2012 Spring Collection

Luxury bridal designer Jenny Packham is a graduate from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art. Packham’s glamorous celebrity clientele include Keira Knightley, Beyonce, Jennifer Anniston, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma Watson and Eva Longoria. She has received numerous bridal designer awards with the most recent being the Bridal Buyers 2011 Bridal Designer of the Year Award.

We find her sophisticated bridal gowns part vintage and part 1930′s Hollywood. Yet each one has such elegant details and clean lines. The hair accessories shown in these photos are also by Jenny Packham. (We do apologize for the designer’s logo displayed in the middle of the gown. It’s how the designer provides the images.) Our StrictlyWeddings.com New York Bridal Gown partner, Mark Ingram, will be having a trunk show of her latest collection April 17.
