Beating the Bridal Bloat

Skinny brideTry these tips four days before the wedding:

  • Avoid gassy foods like onions, broccoli, and beans. Gas buildup will give you a Buddha Belly. If you have any degree of lactose intolerance, steer clear of milk and cheese.
  • Don’t skip meals. The less food in your GI tract, the more air gets trapped, creating gas.
  • Don’t chew gum or sip through a straw; both actions allow gas to get trapped in the GI tract.
  • Drink lots of water. It aids digestion and gets things moving along.
