Strictly Weddings $50,000 Honeymoon in Paris Contest

1. No purchase necessary. One entry per household only. Contestants may enter by going to www.strictlyweddings.com and clicking the “Bon Voyage” link.  Contestants will be required to submit a brief statement (no more than 300 words) describing how they were engaged and why they should win the Strictly Weddings $50,000 Honeymoon in Paris Contest.  Contestants must also verify that they have read these rules and provide their name, mailing and e-mail addresses.

2. The Contest is open to U.S. residents 21 years of age or older. Employees of Strictly Weddings, its advertisers and vendors, and their immediate families are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.  The winner will be required to  produce proof of marriage 90 days prior to travel.  If such documentation cannot be provided, then Strictly Weddings may select an alternate winner.

3. Selection of the winning entry will be exclusively up to the discretion of the judges selected by Strictly Weddings.  Decisions of the judges are final. Entries will be judged on originality, theme content and creativity.

4.The Contest begins November 15, 2007 and will close August 1, 2008, by which date all entries must be received.  Strictly Weddings assumes no liability for entries lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected, or for the failure, interruption, technical malfunction or delay of any email or other communication to be received.  Winner will be selected August 15, 2008. Winner will be notified by mail and will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability that must be returned within 14 days of the date on the notification letter or an alternate winner will be selected. Any prize notification letter or prize returned as undeliverable will be awarded to an alternate winner. 

5. No substitution for prizes except as may be necessary due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prize acceptance constitutes permission to use winner's name and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. Sponsors and their agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, postage-due entries, or internet technical, hardware, software, telephone or transmission failures of any kind which may limit a person's ability to enter the Contest. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Strictly Weddings, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising in connection with the Contest or any prize won.  Any federal or state taxes incurred as a result of winning are the sole responsibility of winner.

6.Strictly Weddings assumes no liability concerning trip interruption occasioned by airlines, trains, or other modes of transportation, and assumes no liability concerning actions taken by the hotel or airlines concerning modification of travel dates, rooms or seating.  All flights and other transportation are subject to the rules and regulations of the carrier.

7. Prize: One (1) prize winner will receive: a seven (7) night, eight (8) day honeymoon package worth approximately US $50,000. This prize includes hotel accommodations at the Hotel George V in Paris, first-class round-trip air travel for two people on British Airways and dinner for two at the Jules Verne Restaurant, perched at the top tier of the Eiffel Tower. Trip must be taken within one (1) year of receiving prize. If Strictly Weddings cannot find an eligible winner who is able to travel within the time provided to satisfy verification procedures, no prize will be awarded. All other expenses incurred by the winner (and any guest) in France will be at their own expense. Prizes will remain as listed above. There will be no substitutions or no trade for cash value of the prizes. The laws of the United States in general and Texas in particular govern this Contest. In the event of a dispute concerning this Contest, venue shall lie in the District Court of Dallas County, Texas.  All taxes, air taxes, passenger facility charges, airport security fees, visa fees, meals (unless otherwise indicated in the inclusions), items of a personal nature, optional sightseeing, phone calls, travel insurance, excess baggage, tips to driver/guide, or any other items not specifically mentioned as included in the trip inclusions are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.  Winner and companion will need a valid passport to travel. Travel companion or winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release and return with winner's documents. Travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as winner.
