A Florida destination wedding is always a favorite for us. With pristine beaches and emerald waters, they can provide an idyllic setting for a vow exchange. Put the bride in a Maggie Sottero gown surrounded by the love and laughter of her bridesmaids wearing Watters, a groom whose strongest desire is to provide fairytale magic and we are completely smitten. Alena Bakutis Photography brings us Callie and Cody's enchanting wedding on Grayton Beach near the Gulf of Mexico for today's feature. They took scenic highway 30A, a stretch of road with beautiful beaches and quaint little towns along the Gulf side, ending at a picturesque garden beauty called Monet, Monet that was adorned in an abundance of twinkling lights for their celebration!
Love at First Sight
Callie and Cody spotted one another at the Annual Farmers Fair. That fateful day, little did they know it would make the first of many "firsts." When their eyes locked for the first time, smiles crossed each of their faces because they knew. Fast forward to Cody's proposal and one elegant destination wedding in Florida.
Callie chose blush and neutral colors allowing for the surroundings of the water and gardens to make her dream day really pop. With the use of crystals on the beach and throughout the reception it allowed for a classic and reflective beauty. Her bridesmaids wore Watters blush gowns holding small bouquets of white hydrangeas with pops of pink roses to match Callie's fuller bouquet designed by It's a Perfect Day. Her full lace, soft ivory Maggie Sottero gown was a mermaid silhouette giving her the appeal of a true siren beauty.
After the ceremony the bridal party and guests moved from Grayton Beach to the Grayt Grounds of Monet, Monet - a gem of a property with a rich tradition. Jonathon Quinn built the house on the property and its gardens in 1990, where he replicated on a smaller, quainter scale Claude Monet's in Giverny, France. When you approach the garden entrance peaches, tomatoes, herbs and flowers immediately draw you in. A beautiful archway leading to the front door has a secret garden making for unforgettable moments from Callie and Cody's wedding day.
Fun, Love and Cupcakes
The reception kicked off with a unique entrance by the bridal party that filled the garden with fun and laughter. Guests enjoyed a low country shrimp broil by Grayton Beach Catering. For a little sugar on top, Cupcakery by the Sea created decadent and multi-flavored cupcakes with one over-the-top giant cupcake as the centerpiece for Callie and Cody to ceremonially slice into.
A True Sparkler
The evening was dedicated to Callie and Cody's love story that paid tribute to the family and friends who have exemplified faith, hope and love. A true sparkler of a destination wedding!
