Marchesa unveiled their new collection for Fall/Winter 2016 in New York at the Canoe Studio and hearts fluttered throughout the Big Apple. We can tell you there is nothing more exhilarating as being backstage of one of the biggest bridal markets of the year - especially with this renowned designer. Strictly Weddings is excited to share this inside look to the preparations of their show and first reveal of their new ethereal designs with photos courtesy of FirstVIEW and Marchesa. Not only do we reveal Marchesa's new gowns, but bridal shoes and glamorous accessories too, for a complete bride-to-be's fairy tale day.
An Ethereal Essence
The new Marchesa bridal line introduces an allure of feather light elements coming together to embody the collection's ethereal essence. And we are completely smitten. Cascading layers of illusion lace are gracefully paired with sheer, open-backs and cutout details, creating such an airy feeling they seem to blur the lines between dreams and reality. Lightweight boning and exposed ribbon corsetry add a subtle dash of drama to tiered ruffles and metallic-threaded Chantilly lace. New necklines are artfully bejeweled while detachable skirts feature softly pleated tulle and lace sculpted peplums. Lavishly embroidered cut-away along with delicate lace and ladder trim details adorn opulent ball gowns of the most romantic nature.
Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig
Now to showcase the pure bridal bliss of Marchesa's new line! British born Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig did not disappoint. They redefine elegance and couture with each new style. From the various use of textiles like 3D lace floral arch embroidery and bejeweled crystal and bead bodices, their craftsmanship reins with supreme femininity. Feast your eyes on their new ball gowns, A-lines, fishtail gowns with V-necks, shimmering lace, pearly sequins and so much more.
