A rustic chic wedding outdoors at Hummingbird Nest Ranch is enough to make heads turn, but add a gorgeous bride wearing Alvina Valenta, sophisticated earth tones and Duke Photography behind the lens and you have one stellar dream day full of romance. Fancy That Events and Bloombox Designs redefine rustic chic with Sheva and John's wedding. The crisp white tented reception is sheer over-the-top beauty magnified with hanging chandeliers and earthy tablescapes. The moment that Sheva makes her grand entrance with the sun beaming down on her is a moment every bride dreams for as a little girl! Pure magic.
Rustic Opulence
John and Sheva were initially set up on a blind date by her aunt. The first time they ever spoke to one another was by phone and was a five-hour conversation that would pave their future. Sheva has a passion for horses and outdoors which John took note of for a romantic proposal over dinner at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu with the sun setting and horses grazing near by. It was only natural that they would select similar beauty for their wedding day at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch, an equestrian competition venue. The Spanish style architecture appealed to the couple who had both studied aboard in Spain, but it was the rustic opulence of the scene and the secluded environment that melted their hearts.
Breathtaking Entrance
One of the most beautiful moments of the day was Sheva's entrance wearing an Alvina Valenta gown with a Blossom Veil and Badgley Mischka shoes. Her bridemaids wore Jenny Yoo dresses in complimentary earth tones.
Redefining Rustic Chic
Inspired by the native beauty of their venue, Sheva chose a rustic earth tone palette with a candlelight atmosphere for when the sun set. The open air structure tented in white drapes was the perfect frame for the full moon that peeked right as Sheva's father gave his toast to the couple. Dark wood tables paired with natural chairs created a picturesque scene with low white floral arrangements high on greenery polishing the table settings. A beautiful rose garland emphasized the dessert table where Rafis Pastries naked cake stood tall. Taking center stage was a pristine white dance floor that guests took full advantage of dancing the night away over the jazzy tunes of the Allen G Orchestra.
Stolen Moments
Sheva and John's special moment that set a part from the rest of the day was the private time they captured between the ceremony and reception. They were able to meet for the first time as husband and wife, without family or cameras. Standing apart from the crowd they watched from above as their 350 guests entered the venue space, lined with candlelight, while live jazz music emanated from within. Their expressions of excitement and awe made the hard work of the year planning come full circle.
