As this intimate candlelight wedding easily proves, there's something so sweet about gathering a few of your nearest and dearest friends and family to witness the most cherished promise of a lifetime. Intimate weddings always seem to have a certain flair boasting elegance and sophistication blended with comfort and fun. Add the expertise of Louise Georges Yves and The Hidden Garden with Jerry Ghionis Photography behind the lens and this wedding reinforces all those beliefs and more. The amazing style of Marly and Pierre is evident throughout the whole chic celebration, right down to her wearing a custom gown by her designer friend Maria Korovilas.
Love at First Sight on Facebook
Pierre first saw Marly in a photo on Facebook of her best friend's wedding where she was a bridesmaid. He gave Marly's friend a nudge for an introduction and they haven't been apart since. Their Santa Barbara spa weekend getaway led to a romantic proposal on the beach.
Lush Romantic Ambience
The Carondelet House, a private residence in Los Angeles built in the 1920's and reminiscent of an old villa, served as the perfect venue for their nuptials. Pierre, being French, loved the European influence and inspiration compared to some of the modern hotel alternatives. The couple yearned for a romantic and lush ambience, something sophisticated, but warm with a touch of edge. They chose a neutral color palette focusing on ivories and blush with hints of lace and black accents - all set a glow amongst the refection of hundreds of candles. Poignant moments were delivered through speeches by their fathers and a few best friends.
Celebrating Love
We adore what the bride said about their intimate wedding: "Having our families and friends merge, even for the night, was the best possible way to celebrate our love and start our lives together."
