When a botanical garden wedding ceremony on Staten Island turns into a rooftop soiree for the reception, you know you are in for a treat. One that is filled with gorgeous blooms from JMB Haute Floral Designs, glam details of an exquisite Pnina Tornia gown and the sweetest duo who won the "Race for the Ring." Wait, what? Yes, Veronica and Zachary entered a Race for the Ring event, winning the competition for a $10,000 engagement ring from Casale Jewelers. Then the couple took three years to plan an unforgettable wedding day that Joey G Memory and Video captured. These are just some of the fabulous details straight from the bride!

Race for the Ring

Veronica and Zach met in their sociology class during college, after dating for nearly two years the couple entered Staten Island's "Race for the Ring" event which took a whole new turn for them. Competing in couple challenges requiring them to depend on one another against other couples, Veronica and Zach came away victorious. The grand prize? A 1.5 karat Vanna K engagement ring from Casale Jewelers, Dongan Hills.

Pnina Tornai Sparkle

They planned their wedding for three years, as Veronica and Zach wanted nothing more then the wedding of their dreams and this they achieved. Veronica wore a Pnina Tornai gown that, of course, dazzled. Known as the Queen of Bling designer, this Pnina Tornai gown was not light on incredible embellishments that highlighted the sweetheart neckline and flowed through the bodice to the waist of the ball gown. She added sparkling Jimmy Choo shoes also purchased at Kleinfeld Bridal's in New York for her walk down the aisle. While the groom wore Dolce & Gabbana and the bridesmaid in sky blue flowing La Femme dresses.

Botanical Garden

Surrounded by friends and family, Veronica and Zach's day was the combination of two religions. They married at the Snug Harbor Botanical Gardens under a white draped and floral chuppah designed by Haute Floral Designs with a string quartet and their personally written vows to one another.

Rooftop Views

The reception was held at Above Rooftop at the Hilton Garden Inn, a top a 10-story tower. High above the rooftops, with panoramic view of the New York City and Staten Island's four bridges, the cocktail hour featured soft soothing piano music and was enveloped in a chandelier boasting no less than 4,00 Swarovski crystals. Stunning white and blush tall florals graced white lined table. But, the cake! Magnificent. Jackie's Cake Boutique created a masterpiece for the dream wedding, cascading in alternating tiers with chandelier crystals and each layer with its own sparkling design.

We love when brides, themselves, share their weddings (thank you Veronica) and this one is a certainly a dream come true.
