Thanks to Blumenthal Photography behind the lens of this unforgettable soiree, we have just that for our readers! Add in, not one, but two contrasting color palettes with floral by Grandiflora, a Vera Wang gown and one of the most precious baby's to steal the show and we are smitten!
A wedding at the Quay Restaurant automatically delivers spectacular views of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and glittering Sydney City skyline. This was one of the reasons, Roxy and Oliver chose the venue. That, and the fact that the Quay was the exact location of their first date. It was an obvious choice for the couple from the start of their wedding planning process. Together they envisioned a celebration with 120 of their closest family members and friends that was not only lavish, but an explosion of flowers and color. To achieve these top wishes, they went with contrasting color palettes for their ceremony and reception. It was an extraordinarily busy day for the bride to say the least. Bridal preparations occurred at her house with her makeup artist and hairdresser. The groom and the groomsmen, on the other hand, was faster and perhaps more relaxed as their preparation took place on their yacht.
Romantic Sydney Wedding
During the ceremony guests were seated within rows of white wooden chairs laced with beautiful white roses. Roxy and Oliver exchanged their vows in front of a stunning wall of roses, and their beautiful daughter, rightly named Pixie, filled everyone's ears with laughter throughout the entire ceremony. She undoubtedly stole the show and her smile is absolutely contagious. Roxy's own smile was radiant as she graced the aisle in a lush Vera Wang ball gown billowing in organza layers. Her bridesmaids wore striking black Occasions by Hayley Paige dresses with crystal belts at the waistline for a touch of glamour and drama. While her groom matched Roxy's sophisticated fashion in an Armani tuxedo.
Contrasting Color Palettes
As a strong contrast to the white floral, the reception was overflowing with bright reds, purples and pinks. Roxy wanted her guests to feel like they were in a romantic floral wonderland as they feasted on the Quay's immaculate food and drinks. Personalized cushions were designed to match the color theme, ensuring that guests were comfortable and relaxed while sharing in the special day.
The couple's beautiful daughter, Pixie, was one of their most favorite memories of the day. Roxy shared that "Pixie expelled so much joy upon all of our guests during our wedding ceremony. I swear that her smile and laugh had never been more beautiful and it made our display of love and commitment unforgettable!"
