This cherry blossom wedding in California is over the top gorgeous all on its own - no question about it. But, when it just so happens to be that of Event Planner and Florist Edgar Martinez (Flowers by Edgar) and Rosewood Sand Hill's banquet supervisor Macio Oliveira's wedding day and each detail comes with meaning behind their vision, it becomes pinch-me-perfect. Thanks to Clane Gessel Photography springtime nupitals never looked so good.

Love at First Sight

This adorable couple met two years ago at Edgar's 40th birthday bash when Macio was a plus one with his friend Mia. It was love at first sight. They were at the Dolce Hayes Mansion which appropriately became the venue for their wedding. Four months into their relationship, Macio and Edgar took their first trip together to the Caribbean. A picture perfect night with an ocean breeze on the cliffs and dinner for two with an eight course meal and Dom Perignon flowing, an extra special course was served. Right before dessert a plate with a ring box floating on crushed ice and a bed of orchids was delivered to the table. Macio had surprised the love his life with his proposal and Edgar said yes.

Pink Cherry Blossom Wedding

When planning their wedding Macio wanted his favorite color to be the palette: pink, pink and more pink. Their wedding invitation and the entire wedding was inspired by cherry blossom trees and their precious pink petals representing love, joy, simplicity and friendship by the Japanese culture. Completely apropo as it reflects the basis of their relationship. In turn, Edgar envisioned white carpet, white draping and a white dance floor. Macio joking responded, "Barbie meets Frozen = Fabulosity!" They put their hearts and soul into the design of their extraordinary day. Each detail was planned to create long lasting memories, special not only them, but their family and friends who celebrated their marriage.

Fabuloso

Speaking of fabulous. The mirrored elephant that greeted guests was named Fabuloso, due in part to Edgar's Latin heritage. As a designer, he has planned many Indian weddings and the elephant represents richness and prosperity. Fabuloso greeted guests to the reception and for them he represented the richness of their feelings for one another and the gratitude they feel toward their family and friends. Macio's best friend married he and Edar which will always play a special place in his heart. His mother walked him down the aisle with Edgar and his daughter waiting in anticipation at the alter. Macio and Edgar did not see the work that the team created coming from industry "vendors," but as friends, each adding their amazing talent and time to produce a night of invaluable memories. And we might add, unparalleled beauty!
