On the outskirts of the metro-Oklahoma City area, Thunderbird Chapel provided the venue for the late-afternoon traditional wedding scene. The vast windows provided stunning natural light and warmth to the wintery backdrop. Simple greenery bundles and grey sashes graced the end of each pew, providing an elegant path to the gorgeous Birchwood arbor. A perfect mixture of candelabras and tiny tea lights shifted all eyes to the arbor, which was asymmetrically draped with garland and hung with beautiful rustic baskets filled with organically-arranged blush and cream garden roses, peonies, and white and grey anemones. Root + Bloom Florals created the breathtaking floral arrangements. Feathers wrapped in personalized ribbons are an innovative way to display name cards on the tables. The circular menu cards nestled neatly on top of the gold and soft white table setting are another subtle and unique twist to a traditional place setting. Tall candlesticks, intricate crystal chalices, and grey metal chairs provide pops of detail, color, and variety to this immaculate head table.

The three-tiered wedding cake truly embodied Social Weddings and Events' vision for this modern meets vintage-inspired shoot. Amy Cakes created this masterpiece, which embraced modern glam with the pop of gold, along with blush and grey watercolors on stark-white second tier. The edible grey fringe on the bottom tier was a subtle and meaningful nod to 1920's fashion. The traditional floral cake arrangement was updated with a perfect pop of greenery.
1920's Elegance
The ladies of the shoot stole the show in their romantic, vintage-inspired gowns, dainty accessories, and glam hair and makeup. The Bridal Boutique of Norman provided these unforgettable gowns. The bride was a vision in this Allure Couture lace wedding dress and cathedral veil. A small arrangement of peonies, garden roses, and anemones was tucked gently under the bride's upswept hair to provide elegance fit for 1920's royalty. The bridesmaid wore a dreamy blush Bill Levkoff floor-length evening gown, complete with a show-stopping Maggie Sottero crystal and beaded jacket to add that vintage feel. The custom floral headband and ethereal bouquets of pink and cream garden roses, peonies, and anemones finished off the look.
