Few places stir the imagination and entice the senses like the sun-drenched lands of the Mediterranean. What's more beautiful than rich azure water tones, gold accents and the fresh aromas that linger along these coastlines? So, when Mediterranean wedding inspiration overflowing with cool tones and vibrant blooms comes along, we begin to salivate over the gorgeousness. Stacy Anderson Photography did not disappoint with this collaboration, showcasing this wedding season's top trends including a Geode cake and an eclectic tablescape with citrus accents that has us color crushing.

Mediterranean Wedding

Picture this. You and our honey are enjoying splashing in the calm, blue water on the shore in Athens, taking in the stunning views of the ornate architecture in Madrid, or even smelling the sweet aroma of freshly baked bread in a charming little cafe in Tuscany. How could anyone not want to get away with all of that dancing in their minds? These experiences were the inspiration for this Mediterranean wedding inspiration at Las Velas in Houston, Texas. While the team didn't head overseas, they did bring the Mediterranean to Houston. Beginning at the location where Las Velas' Tuscan, hand-carved stone walls and mosaic tiled floors provided the perfect location for an organic, old world inspired wedding to remember. Event designer, Mementos Events and Design, created a masterpiece of colors and charm with the use of blues and greens, hinting at the Mediterranean Sea and the colors that can be found there. The floral arrangements that Amanda Bee's Floral Designs created were those reminiscent of the northern areas of Morocco, where the perfect climate allows for such beautiful flowers to grow abundantly. The linens and place settings, provided by LBL Events & Rentals, gave just the right touches of gold and lace, but their greatest contribution was their white draperies for the front of the venue. Those breezy white panels transported the look straight to the shores of Monaco, where you could imagine sitting on the terrace with the perfect cocktail in hand. No trip to Europe would be complete without indulging in the local delicacies. Sweet Hazel's Sweets provided a delicious oregano olive bread, chocolate pistachio biscotti, pizzelle cookies, and cannolis. The main event, of course, was the cake made by Shazdeh Cakes. Her show stopping geode cake took the look over the top with lustrous rock candy crystals and edible gold leaf details. So instead of dreaming of a Mediterranean wedding, why not bring the dreamy destination to you?
