Surrounded by fields of lavender, this Australian coupled nailed it with a flawless rustic chic wedding. It was exactly what they were aiming for as they planned their perfect dream day - that and a healthy dose of relaxation for all in attendance. When a bride exclaims that she "wouldn't change a thing," well that is music to our ears. Thanks to Blumenthal Photography, we have just the pictures to prove how neutral, natural and vintage elements were all used by A Lavish Affair and florist Victoria Whitelaw to produce this rustic chic wedding day.
Rustic Chic Wedding
On Lauren and Chris' one-year anniversary, they escaped for a weekend in Daylesford. Lauren had never been to the town before and instantly fell in love with how relaxing and quaint it was. The time they spent in Daylesford held some of the fondest memories for the couple which five years later made choosing their wedding location a breeze. They visited a few different potential venues, but as soon as they arrived at Sault Restaurant Daylesford they knew that it was the perfect location for their outdoor rustic themed vision. And to top it all off, Sault has a flawless backdrop of lavender and greenery fields to envelope the gorgeous scene. Chris and Lauren describe themselves as very laid back people who love spending time outdoors. If given the choice, they would always choose vintage and wood over modern and glitz. Even in their lifestyle, from clothing to the interior in their apartment, they knew that a rustic chic wedding would best reflect their personality as a couple. Aside from giving their guests a comfortable setting, they wanted to have a day that we would look back on through their photos 50 years from now and not cringe at the decoration choices they made.
Lauren's advice for other brides who want to achieve a flawless and stress free wedding is to not let the pressure of planning your wedding get in the way of enjoying your special day to begin with by giving time to plan everything - to remain as prepared and calm as possible. Besides, that's what your bridesmaids are there to help you out with!
