Those who have travelled to or plan to travel to Italy often have a perception that is undeniably true: it is a place of beauty, passion and luxury. This garden wedding abroad overlooks the natural wonders of Capri completely embodying what the Mediterranean is famous for: Love in Italy. That was the aim of our featured American couple, Priscilla and Chris, who fell in love with all that Capri had to offer as the ideal romantic destination and decided during a visit that the Capri Wine Hotel was the perfect setting to exchange their vows. Vangelis Photography magically captures the loveliness of the day filled with portraits showcasing Capri's splendor and creating some serious wanderlust for us.
Garden Wedding in Italy
Priscilla and Chris were married among the lemon groves, winding stone paths and abundance of native flora. Walls of ivy and the porcelain statue faces that reside in the Capri Wine Hotel's lush garden created an atmosphere not unlike that of a whimsical fairytale or a vibrant painting. The hotel's vineyard offered the couple and their guests a place to unwind and enjoy the calming ambiance of the beach-side getaway.
The ceremony layout and coordination effort was conducted by the hotel's owner, who was able to amplify the natural surroundings with rustic and Italian elements like wine bottles, baskets and natural textures. The couple's individuality was captured through personal touches inspired by Western influences: the use of typography on chalkboard signage, elegant and timeless bridal attire, and simple displays. Hues of pinks, whites and yellows used in Priscilla's bouquet and floral arrangements add a trendy and yet delicate vibe among the many colors naturally seen in the garden's surroundings. This blending of styles and inspiration results in a stunning landscape for the bride and groom to exchange their vows. Priscilla, herself, looked as if she belonged in the garden among the flowers.
After their ceremony, the bride and groom, along with their guests, travelled to the shore where a gathering of classic wooden boats awaited them. The sunshine and ocean breeze made the anticipated boat tour all the lovelier and the newlyweds enjoyed a small feast of local cuisine on the crystal blue Mediterranean water. The tour led the wedding party along the Italian coast to visit the area's most famous natural landmarks, the Faraglioni Rocks. The bride and groom's private boat offered the pair a quiet moment to reflect on the beauty that surrounded them and the many wonderful moments that await them as Mr. and Mrs.
