This Washington D.C. wedding is a work of art. Not only did this fabulous couple plan a classic and elegant affair, but they did so at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. How cool is that? A modern white infused national museum wedding! Something certainly magical happened when this couple, who met on JDate, fell in love. With a passion for rich history, they created a once in lifetime event for everyone in attendance and Michael Bennett Kress Photography captured all the exquisite beauty for us to moon over. This sweet wedding literally glows from the moment Lauren stepped into her James Clifford gown to the newlyweds' very last dance.

Modern White Infused National Museum Wedding

Craig and Lauren have been inseparable since they first began exchanging emails on JDate. On a trip to San Francisco, Craig proposed on bended knee on the 18th hole of Pebble Beach. Clearly they took note from this memorable proposal to score a hole in one with the planning of their dream day too. Their favorite part of their wedding was combining the rich history the National Museum of Women in Arts has to offer with its modern vibe. They envisioned a classic and elegant look where white flowers by Edge Flowers and candles portrayed a more intimate setting under a pink glow of the museum lighting. With her bridesmaids in blue and Craig's own dapper groomsmen they were surrounded by their friends and family to all celebrate their love. Sara Muchnick Events in Washington D.C. did a fabulous job bringing their vision to reality with her special touches. Harmonizing the overall look from the ceremony to the reception for a timeless reflection of Lauren and Craig's personal style. This was certainly no cookie cutter wedding as creating an intimate feel in an impressive space such as the National Museum of Women in the Arts takes talent. By showcasing the venue's unforgettable staircase as a focal point for the soiree, the team was able to create a warmer setting with table rounds, touches of gold and pink ambient lighting. Each tablescape boasted elegant tall white arrangements with candle votives surrounding them. Modern hurricane glass candle holders filled with calla lilies filled the room and made for added texture. Fancy Cakes by Leslie added her eye-candy with a three tiered pink bowed cake that we are sure was equally as delicious as it is adorable.
