This enchanting wedding in New Orleans embodies everything we would expect from such an iconic city: art, culture, style, history, and - our favorite - wedded bliss! Beth and Phil were married at a place like no other, the Marigny Opera House. The bride's inspiration was to take the haunting beauty of the opera house and infuse it with organic and gilded details, all with a dash of that modern edge. With Arte De Vie's impressive photographs, we are taken on a journey through this sensational wedding theme, coordinated by Blue Gardenia Events.

Wedding in New Orleans

The color palette was rich in pale grays, mixed metals, lush greenery, ivory, deep burgundy, and pops of teal for that chic look. The copper came from table runners that Beth's family member made and as another personal touch, her grandmother's milk glass was used to provide further inspiration through the planning process. The pale gray offered a modern edge to the design and provided the perfect backdrop for bringing all of the other elements together. Birch, greenery, and soft florals were abundant throughout the décor, designed exquisitely by Arbor House Floral. Vintage elements, including well-worn doors, were also featured in the ceremony and reception. Worn paneled doors provided the perfect rustic backdrop as Beth and Phil said their "I do's" and also served as welcome and escort tables!

Deep teal escort cards and menus popped with gilded gold calligraphy, and gold accents continued to be used throughout the event with lanterns and candle décor. Beth and Phil treated their guests to a true New Orleans celebration with a traditional Second Line following the ceremony, incredible creole cuisine from Joel Catering, and the funky jazz tunes of the Swamp Donkeys. Everyone danced the night away amidst twinkling candlelight in this historic landmark. The night ended with a grand sparkler exit and the bride and groom being whisked away via a classic Rolls Royce, an ideal way to close the curtain on such a timeless affair!
