Dreamy English Countryside Wedding Inspiration

For those not familiar with the Lady of the Lake, whose name was Nimue, she was reported to have special powers. Her role and interaction with King Arthur, Sir Lancelot and Mystic Merlin is the stuff of legends. The tale of her pivotal role in Camelot has endured hundreds of generations. With this tale in mind, Elizabeth Solaru selected a beautiful lake on a private family estate with natural breathtaking surroundings. The team imagined a lovely summer's day so warm and bright, that Nimue could not resist coming out of the lake onto dry land. Dressed in all her finery, their fresh faced and beautiful model Bonnie with her flowing locks was perfection in the role of young Nimue. For her first look, she was styled by bridal stylist and hair and makeup artist, Boe of Botias who created a dewy and ethreal look using natural tones with hints of aqua. Boe also created a custom-made crystal headpiece that complimented the intricately beaded dress and matched the lace edged cape from dress designer Naeem Khan. The blue shoes by Aruna Seth provided a color pop touch. She feasted and froliced with nature, including the birds, butterflies and dragonflies. When she was done, she swam away to her abode beneath the lake, thinking of what a magical day she had.

Highly respected and classically trained London based florist Miriam Faith created the beautiful floral tablescape, two bouquets and decorated the boat in a manner fit for our young lady of the lake. A variety of blousy flowers that included very fragrant pink Prince Jadiniere and peach Juliet David Austin roses were arranged on the table in a beautiful gold bowl also in aqua bud vases and votives from Deborah of Wedding Day Hire. The look was finished off by beautiful amber glass candlestick holders and taper candles. The bespoke, custom made cake table-cloth was inspired by the lake using strands of organza in various hues of aqua and blue to replicate cascading water. The beautiful cakes, cupcakes and macarons were from Elizabeth's Cake Emporium. The main cake, a 6-tier aqua confection with gold brushed bas relief motifs on the bottom tier was decorated with a cascade of handcrafted pink and peach sugar flowers that matched the flowers. The especially handmade ribbon effect table cloth crafted by Deborah added a touch of drama and whimsy. For the second look, Nimue's hair was woven with fresh flower buds and she donned a specially made lace cape by Botias, very apt for the lady's ceremonial return to her home.
