This just happened. A non-pink July nuptial exchange in California. Are you immediately thinking this is blasphemy? Well, fret not our Strictly Weddings readers because Platinum Weddings by Kerrie is going to have you dreaming of a festive bright colored summer wedding in the sunshine state too. It can be done. Thanks to Jessica and Brent who envisioned their boho-chic vibe to complement California's coastline. AND for enlisting the likes of Nisie's Enchanted Florist to color crush it with their fresh blooms while Katie Shuler Photography captured the insane beauty that unfolds in this gallery. Get ready for pops of rich colors to dance and interplay against the bride's blush Romona Keveza. Okay, there may be some dashes of our favorite pinky hue - but her bridal style is a whole other topic as Jessica's classy ensemble should be pinned in every wedding board.
Festive Bright Colored Summer Wedding
Let's begin with this incredible color palette. Jessica has always been drawn to deep red and burgundy florals, but since it was a summer wedding, she lightened it up with touches of pinks, peaches and whites with a lot of green accents. Dahlias, ranunculus, and peonies are her favorite flowers and her dream was a pop of rich colors. And one striking light blush dress. The burgundy velvet ribbon ended up tying everything together perfectly. She also envisioned touches of gold with bud vases and big candelabras. The periwinkle blue candle sticks were a gorgeous addition against the pink lighting. The all-white dance floor with faux grass hedges and drapery against the back wall of the ballroom transformed it into a romantic, garden-like space. Platinum Weddings by Kerrie was instrumental in working with the bride and groom on all aspects including selecting fabrics and working with the colors in the ballroom to coordinate with the table settings. Jessica's bridal style is like dropping the who's who of bridal designers. Wearing a Romona Keveza found at Gabriella in Soho. She had always pictured herself in lace, but the more dresses she tried on, the more she felt her petite frame was overwhelmed by the fabric. Plus, like every bride she was looking for something different that would make her soon to be husband catch his breath and perhaps cry like a baby - to be a little unexpected. Cue the pink one-shoulder ball gown in a plain silk with a tulle skirt underneath to give it more fullness. Then she polished off her style with a timeless Pronovias veil adding a romantic lace element, some fab Jimmy Choo shoes and sparkling gems from Tiffany and Co. and Jennifer Behr. Not only a classy couple, but also fun they had guests joining in a large Jenga game and custom Vanderbilt/Georgetown corn holes during cocktail hour. We truly couldn't have been more excited to feature this festive bright colored summer wedding. Giving all those brides planning their upcoming day more than just blush and cream dreams.
