John Legend Surprises Wedding Guests

Alexandra and Daniel's ceremony took place on the lavish grounds of a private residence with a 182-foot elevated wood planked walkway constructed as the aisle. Appliques of ivory floral graced the length of the outdoor aisle defined by a series of towering arches of cascading greens and floral. A spectacular chuppah sat at the far end of the walkway, dramatically perched above the ceremony vignette and adorned in a natural manner with a magnificent display of cascading floral. During the ceremony, a unique arrangement of vintage-inspired furniture became the perfect place where the wedding party members lounged and posed a la "Vanity Fair." At the Beverly Hills Hotel, the grand staircase entry to the crystal ballroom was adorned from top to bottom with arrays of spectacular garlands amidst draped walls and an exquisite vignette of floral compositions. The foyer itself was transformed into a warm welcoming environment characteristic of the hosts' own home. Blue and white chinoiserie designs became the central motif of the reception with vignettes of assorted blue and white vessels filled with groupings of all white floral. Walls scaling 12-feet tall featured custom moldings, mercury glass sconces and pleated dupioni silk fabric that surrounded the ballroom and created an architectural backdrop reminiscent of a private residence. Indented niches were highlighted by floral displays tucked into stunning blue and white vessels. Celebrated cake designer Sylvia Weinstock created a five-foot masterpiece intricately designed to resemble sections of blue and white china pieces topped with groupings of elaborate handmade white floral displays. All of this awe-inspiring beauty and then John Legend surprises wedding guests!? Epic.
