Today's gorgeous wedding shoot comes from Paris with love! This wedding inspiration was inspired by French artist's Jean-Marc Nattier's Portrait of a Lady. The earthy tones with pops of orange and hues of blue, blush and gold inspired the color palette and were a huge part as to why Hotel Le Marois made for the perfect venue. The hotel is full of character with it's painted ceilings, ornate decor, golden touches, and distinctive details.

The hope was to convey the mood the art piece evokes, which is a darker, emotive, romantic, yet still soft and understated feeling. Florals were a big part of this inspiration as they make up a big part of the Portrait of the Lady. The Cardonas worked with the amazing, Kim Tyler, from Sojourn Weddings who brought the inspiration to life. She incorporated bold pops of blue, orange, and married it with golden blush tones. The bouquet and the centerpieces are a work of art in and of themselves! She draped the walls with florals to surround the bride and groom in a sort of mock altar and to give the same sense of the painting, one in which the subject feels embraced and surrounded by florals.

The bridal dress by Sharon OSP is gorgeous couture. The bride also wore a reception dress by Christian Lacroix. The bride styled one of his vintage pieces that perfectly encapsulated our color palette. The groom wore a suede suit with velvet lapels from My Grooms Room.

With the historical feel of the venue and inspiration, Vaisselle Vintage provided the specialty rentals, everything from furniture, to flatware, glassware, and vintage plates. Plates with ivory, blue, and golden elements were used to tie it all together. The calligrapher, Claudia Strenger, maximized the blue and gold from the inspiration and put together a dream Parisian invitation suite complete with the Eiffel Tower. She created an amazing runner and wrote their vows on custom glass by Henao Designs.

We hope this styled shoot inspires brides to get married in amazing venues like Hotel Le Marois in Paris and encourages them to think more creatively when trying to find inspiration for their wedding day. You can find inspiration everywhere and anywhere, but especially in French art and in Paris!
