It may be a stereotypical statement, but time and time again, we have seen its truth proven.

Young or old, everyone dreams of feeling like a prince or princess on their special day. After all, this beauty, luxury and sense of magic is what weddings are all about.

In this mesmerising wedding, the planners at Simply Enchanted Events, LLC encapsulated that universal wish, and designed a ceremony that brought it to life.

This dreamy wedding day features a timeless sense of design, which was inspired by the ceremonies that we read about in fairy tales.

And Tristan and Nicole’s meeting completely felt like fate.

On the day of their first meeting, Nicole had gone to the Subway sandwich shop on campus, and she was rocking the pajama look. When she walked into the store, Tristan happened to recognize her (as he was friends with her brother) and introduced himself. In fact, she was actually there with two of her friends, who became her bridesmaid and her maid of honor at the wedding!

Nicole says that, when Tristan looks back to that day, he always tells her that he thought she looked beautiful even in her pajamas. About a month later, a guy Nicole had asked to accompany her on a sorority function stood her up, so a friend arranged for her to have a backup date. It turned out Tristan was the one to step in and save the day.

Tristan and Nicole both initially agreed that he would just casually escort her to this dance and that it wasn’t a romantic date. But within a few minutes, they just hit it off. They have been inseparable ever since.

Then, after 5 years, Tristan gave Nicole the biggest surprise of her life when he proposed to her under her favorite tree in the backyard of her childhood home.

The grandeur of the European-style villa was reminiscent of Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. This, combined with the modern-yet-classical style of the bride’s dress and accessories, was the absolute embodiment of sophisticated glamour.

Taking full advantage of this stunning venue, the designers and flower artists created a decor that enhanced the regal atmosphere. The huge floral displays were made up of elegant white and pale pink roses, studded with white gypsophila flowers and framed with deep green foliage.

Similarly, the four tiered cake was adorned with matching flowers, the icing was a pristine white, finished with ornate Renaissance-style gold decorations.

Another particularly sweet idea which we were delighted by was the use of embroidered handkerchiefs as wedding favours. These delicate pieces of fabric were decorated with simple flower stitchings, and hung up with wooden pegs for the guests to choose and keep.

It beautifully tied in with the theme - just like every element of this occasion, it felt like the type of thing that you’d see in the most beautiful storybook.
