The Big Question
Nicole and Amir met in college, but it was their 10-year anniversary when the magical proposal occurred at the airport on their way to Hawaii. Amir surprised Nicole with "the big question" at 7:00 a.m. setting the precedent for a magical trip and promises of a lifetime together.
While planning their contemporary California wedding, Nicole was inspired by the California Science Center's design and architecture. She fell in love with its grandeur and modern vibe. Her second inspiration came from her affection for orchids and the bloom's purple center. She chose a color palette of purple, silver and an overload of stark white to compliment the contemporary setting. Wearing a demure Matthew Christopher gown that hugged her every curve, Nicole polished her bridal style with Benjamin Adam heels. Her bridesmaids wore Monique Lhuillier bridesmaids' gowns in a teal that nearly matched here stunning ring gracing her right hand.
Uyen Nguyen of Sassy Girl Wedding and Events worked with a team of A-list vendors bringing to life the chic setting not only in the Rose Garden for the ceremony, but the Annenberg Building of the Science Center for the reception. Luxe Linens' set the foundation for the tablescapes using sparkling silver linens. Ghost chairs and tall floral vases by Commerce Flowers were bursting with a mixture of orchids, roses and hydrangea's graced each table top with cascading crystals from each arrangement to blend with the chandeliers. The reception area boasted an open ceiling which made the entire setting unique. Nicole capitalized on the fun factor by having oversized faces created of her and Amir for amusing photos with her guests.
