Nestled in heart of quintessential Palm Springs is a peaceful desert hideaway, a luxury oasis sitting on 45 acres with surrounding views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. La Quinta Resort & Spa had today's couple immediately embracing the idea of saying I Do under the desert stars. The groom's golf obsession also helped drive the decision. Orchestrating what moved from an intimate destination wedding to one boasting a guest list of 170 was Vanessa Van Wiren of Alchemy Fine Events. The simple elegance oozes from each image Shauna Heron captured. From the overflowing white orchids to the cooper, white and greenery medley that plays throughout the reception - hello, ceiling installation - Arrangements Designs and Vanessa created visually stunning elements that spoke softly but delivered a wow statement.
Saying I Do Under the Desert Stars
Isabelle and David knew their guests couldn't resist coming to their destination wedding in Palm Springs with the promises of sunshine and fun. The gorgeous mountain views hovering outside the vast desert plain certainly helped. Together, this couple knew they wanted to deliver an unforgettable experience for their friends and family as they were saying I Do under the desert stars. With their shared loved for simple sophistication, fine dining and wine and a passion for a good time this wedding had all the ingredients for something great and memorable. All white chicness reigned the day. A beautiful tented reception framed the scene that unfolded. As guests entered they were greeted with a combination of modern and vintage chandeliers with copper orbs and tons of greenery and lush blooms hanging from the ceiling. An outdoor that created a very intimate indoor vibe. Throughout the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed putting on the resort greens in front of the tent. The tablescapes were laid with various white lace lines of Luxe Linen showcasing exotic centerpieces. Details were modest in theory but created a visual appeal. Pressed olive leaves in glass frames with calligraphy, copper cup candleholders and hammered copper chargers all added color and texture. Of course, any couple that ends the night with an In-n-Out truck for some late night snacks are immediate favs of ours.
