Exquisite style and luxurious details make up this classically glamorous wedding at Carnegie Music Hall of Pittsburgh Foyer. Elegant, chic and timeless was the theme that Katy and Amir envisioned for their Pittsburgh soiree. With the baroque architecture of the Music Hall Foyer boasting its 60-foot ornate gilded ceilings, majestic green marble pillars and an inlayed marble floor the scene was set. It is timeless elegance at every turn all planned by the bride herself and tipping the opulent scales with floral and décor in a rich color palette of gold and ivory with hints of greenery and loads of sparkle. Not only did she plan each detail of her fairytale, she dressed the part too - stepping out in a Nicole Sposa ball gown. They also have a custom poster to remember their magical first dance which was a choreographed to Beauty and the Beast by Ariana Grande and John Legend!
Classically Glamorous Wedding at Carnegie Music Hall
Katy and Amir both love to travel and enjoy the beautiful architecture of ancient Europe. This is what they searched for when it came to their ceremony and reception venues as the perfect backdrop. For the ceremony, they chose Heinz Memorial Chapel, which is a neo-Gothic style chapel with beautiful stained glass windows and a grand organ that was played throughout the ceremony. For the reception, they wanted a grand ballroom that was straight out of a fairytale like the one in Beauty and the Beast. The dramatic Music Hall Foyer at the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh fit that bill right down to the ornate metal balcony overlooking the elegant space. Katy and Amir incorporated various aspects of the groom's Persian cultural traditions with some classic Pittsburgh and American wedding traditions. They had a Persian knife dance prior to cutting the cake and played several Persian dance songs throughout the night. Paying homage to Pittsburgh they had a traditional cookie table. Katy and Amir shared in a Catholic mass during their ceremony to honor Katy's religious background and had a separate Muslim wedding ceremony in California a month prior to honor Amir's religious background. For this day though, Katy and Amir's classically glamorous wedding at Carnegie Music Hall of Pittsburgh Foyer is an unforgettable evening that beings a new happily ever after chapter for this couple.
