Morgan and Brian wanted a day to just spend time together, alone, in the natural beauty of Colorado. They chose Silverton, because the San Juan mountains are some of the most beautiful nature that Colorado has to offer, and has no shortage of trails to explore with blue alpine lakes, green mountains, and open wilderness. The day began with them having a drink at the little bar at the Wyman, where they were staying. After getting ready, they did a quick first look, and headed out to their ceremony location. They took their SUV up to a secluded alpine lake where they got to say their vows completely alone. After some very sweet, very teary vows, the area was explored a bit before heading down the trail to celebrate. They signed their license, popped champagne, and set up a little charcuterie dinner. Morgan surprised Brian with some letters from their moms for them to read after dinner. They then played Yahtzee (a game they loved playing together and often brought with them on backpacking trips), and headed back to the hotel for drinks a few more photos.
