While I've been baking for over 20 years, I started my home based custom cake business in August 2023. I am a self-taught baker that does everything from whimsical cupcakes to elegant wedding cakes, but I really enjoy the custom designed 3D cakes that often don't look like cake at all! So far, my favorite custom cake was a whiskey barrel that actually dispensed whiskey...from the cake.
As a small, home based business owner, I'm lucky to have some built in help from my husband, mother-in-law and daughter. They've been a huge part of helping to launch my passion for cake into a business. At this point, I do have a day job but hope to build the cake business into my full time gig. My husband jokes that for now, I'm a "banker by day and baker by night". I couldn't do it without my families help. We all enjoy getting to be part of our clients special occasions by spreading love through cake!
